A man has been charged with attempting to kill a woman who was attacked by a man at a super market in London.
The woman, who was also treated for shock, was rushed to hospital and her condition has since improved, the Metropolitan Police said.
Police said on Tuesday that the woman, believed to be in her 40s, had been walking down the street on March 19 when the alleged attacker approached her.
“We are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information about the incident to come forward,” a Met police spokesman said.
Police released a picture of the alleged assailant.
“It’s important that anyone who has seen the incident or witnessed anything suspicious at the market is able to come and speak to us,” he said.
