Juventus need to find a way of breaking the current contract deadlock and hope that a new agreement can be reached before the end of the season.
The club has until the end the next week to do so.
With the Italian national team on a world tour and a few other international matches in the offing, a new contract is now all but impossible for the Giallorossi.
The only option at the moment is to accept a new one, but that may prove too expensive.
If that happens, it is likely that Juve will not renew the current deal.
The deal with the Bianconeri has been the bedrock of the club’s success over the past decade and Juventus would be well advised to find another way to keep this current contract alive.
